I hear ya, Mac's pretty cool! Was it a Mac store or something corporate? And na, I'm not a returnee. I've been working in the hotel industry for the last two years. It's pretty easy to pick up though.

Just stoppin by to say what's up. Looks like we're going to be co-workers. Not much longer till D-day, I'm excited. Is this your first position in hospitality?

I am a non-surfer. Growing up in Wisconsin, I did some tubin' but never surfing. I always was pretty good in the water park wave pool though.

I see from your picture that you like to hit the waves. Did you know that in the Cook Inlet here in Alaska they actually do some surfing when a special tide called a Bore Tide comes in. It happens only 1 or 2 times a year, but is really cool.

I May and September we get some nights down in the 40s, days in the 50s. In June, July, and August the average temp will be between 65 - 75 degrees. Very comfortable.

Welcome to MyCoolworks. Great to see you on here. More people will be joining every day. You should be able to meet some co-workers before you ever get to Alaska on here. Check out the MPL group for discussions on what to pack and any other topics that people think of.
