Hi Beverly, I was wondering how the search is going? I've backed off a couple of places because of the housing thing over the years. I am thinking about a couple of places without though in the future.

Hey Beverly, Alaska is wonderful but you do have to jump on the job process early. I will be in Skagway this summer. Last summer I lived and worked at Glacier point under a Chilkat Guides tour operation. There are alot of server type jobs around but housing is hard to find and expensive unless it's directly related to a company you work for. YOu might have better luck finding cheaper housing in Haines. Which isn't as busy with the cruise ship tourist but a nice little town with good people! Try working at the Fireweed or Moseys. Both places have damn good food and are really busy in the summer. good luck, let me know if you have any questions and hope to see you out in AK this summer!
