Bill, Our train crew will be in Denali this Saturday. I am not sure as to where we will stay but we will be staying over. I think dinner will be in the edr there and we will be at Cabin Night that night. It is a training run so I don't know all details. Thought I'd let you know.
Aloha Bill, I will arrive in ANC on May 7th 5am and rent a car to explore the Kenai Peninsula and Girdwood area until I take the bus to Denali on May 11th and check in to Aramark Chalet housing. I hear tell the snow in Denali is melting and plenty of mud to contend with, so make sure you bring appropriate shoes. I've yet to receive my HAP job offer letter as I was hired by phone last Friday.
Best of Luck on your CDL test!!
Thanks Bill, and congratulations to you on your upcoming Denali summer adventure. I was hoping it would be close enough to walk between the two properties, sounds like I may be able to pull this off, providing my feet don't fail me working 16 hours daily! Your job as a driver sounds like something I would enjoy, I have some speeding tickets so I don't think I could get hired though;( Last year when you visited, did you notice if any of the male servers at Princess had a ponytail? I know we can only have a mustache, no beard.
Aramark allows beards to 2 inches and hair tied back (assuming for males as well).
Ah yeah, very cool. I have been doing the same. Just trying to get an idea of what the place is like and how everyone gets along. Im mostly just concerned about what I need to bring, and what I should or shouldnt bring. but overall I am pretty excited about it and I know i'll have a good time up there.
