Profile Information

Hometown:
Detroit, MI
About Me:
I currently live in Portland, OR but am getting ready to move up to Alaska and begin a new life for myself. I will be bartending at the Kenai Princess Lodge for the summer. When done in September I hope to find a job and place to live in Anchorage, Homer, or Seward dependent upon oppurtunity. I would absolutely love to chat with new people, ask questions and maybe even make some new great friends in my soon to be new home?! I've only worked one previous seasonal job before, that was in Breckenridge, CO at the ski resort. So if anyone is heading that way and has questions, I would be more than happy to share my experiences and recommendations. Thanks for your time and happy travels!
Last Seasonal Job:
Breckenridge Ski Resort
Favorite Seasonal Job:
So far from what I can tell, this upcoming one will be!
Dream Job:
I hope to be living it in a few months!

heya!
I'm just up the road from you in government camp up on mt. hood. I was living in portland last year and go back frequently. I'm also (trying) to head up to Alaska for this summer. How did you go about getting your gig and could you recommend any other resources?
Thanks,
Evan

I'd like to head over mid-May and be back mid-July...backpack around...see stuff. I'm not sure where I want to go for sure, that's up for debate. If you're interested in some or all of that time, let me know!

I moonlight as an internet stalker.
School is going alright, it's getting down to the wire. I will probably be going somewhere else next summer...I was thinking Europe for a couple months. Alaska is my fallback at this point. What are you thinking? -- wanna join me? ;)
