I am looking forward to finding and working the perfect job with coolworks. I discovered this site thru a friend that worked in Alaska 3 years ago and have been very interested in doing the same. I am 44 yrs old, have 3 children that are grown and am able to travel and enjoy what life has to offer. I love the outdoors, exploring new surroundings and love nature.
I have been accepted to this location and I am in the process of getting all of my paper work together, signed and turned back in to work the summer season. I am really excited. I would like any information on this area as far as living , working, site seeing, etc. from anyone who has worked here or been an employee.
Taking on seasonal employment usually means employee housing unless you are independantly wealthy. If thats the case, just visit these places and someday I'll be your host or wait on you. Kidding. Yellowstone con cessionaire for the Nat'l. park at the time I was employed was Xyantera, thats misspelled, a huge company as you will find out. They even flew in a 747 of students from U. of Bankok , Thialand for summer help. That was actually fun and educational. Forever Resorts managed the Trail Ridge store in Co. Rocky Mtn. Natl. park. Estes Park was a great place to live and Forever Resorts paid to take us bowling, movies, and other activities. Housing was comfy. Glacier Bay was Aramark Co., The Park was incredible. The job was unforgettable. Living in cabins in the Alaskan rain forest. How cool. Tell you more stories later. As for my next adventure goes.. I'm still searching . That's the beauty of being a traveler. Doug.
I spent 3 seasons in guest services at Tampa's premier golf and tennis resort,( Saddlebrook), located just north of Tampa. Attended U.S.F. I think I have some pictures of Glacier Bay on my space or facebook. I'm kind of skitsy when it comes to travsfering pics, frustration tends to move me on. Let me know if you find me somewhere. I'll stay in touch. Doug.
