Well how could i be from Ohio and not be a Buckeye fan! Well to help you out, my first seasonal gig was Coldfoot Camp in Alaska actually. So there really is no set way that you have to do things. I just find an area that I want to explore and try to find somethig around there. Or at least find a place that meets my personal criteria. I have worked at ranches the last two years however and have loved it. Care should be taken to find a ranch that suits your particular style and personal needs. Trust me not all ranches are created equal and you could find that out the hard way or you could just take advantage of our wonderful staff here. If there is a job posting on CW chances are someone on here has alredy worked there and they can tell you what to expect!

Hey Crystal welcome to mycoolworks, I am glad you found us. What type of job are you looking for?? It's definatly worth coming up to Alaska, I loved it so much I stayed here. I am taking maybe a year here and flying. Next winter I may go try to work at one of the big ski resorts in Colorado. Let me know any questions you may have. I have met alot of cool people in my travels I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! : )

Welcome to CW Crystal, even though I boo you from being from Michigan, I can still get passed it. Looking for ranch jobs for the summer? Are you looking for positions for the winter as well?

Lake Powell in the summer is hotter than the surface of Mercury. Like the rest of the Colorado River, it's down in a canyon--the lake only partially fills it. So in a very hot country, you're in the hottest part of it, usually without a breath of ...
