I got to thinking about it and I really don't think I can leave me daughter for that long so I think I'll try to split it up over 3-4 years. That will help with the cost too.

How long does it take the average person to hike the trail?
Yeah, I can see that happening. I have only hiked a few days at a time. I'd really like to do more this summer, but with work I don't see it happening. But if you do decide to go that would be great.
It's too early for me to definitively plan that hike, but if I can save enough $$ to skip working that season, I'd be in. At least for some of the sections, if not the thru hike. My partner/bf wants to hike it also, but he has yet to do any long d...
