After working in the non-seasonal world for the past 35 years, and under union contracts, I have seen many supervisors intimidate less knowledgeable employees, including myself. While I was covered by a no-lay-off clause, the mistreatment I endure...

I've seen a commercial for a new laundry detergent/dryer sheet, you could check that out. Much easier to pack.

Does the Date November 15, 1975 mean anything to you?

Sorry, I wasn't asking about your time in, but in general. I used to work for the Parks Dept here in RI and camped in the park during the summer, it was fun. I would do it again when I retire (whenever that is).

Hey Cyndi - saw you added me as your friend. My plans are changing as we speak, but think I will work in two parks this summer. Your timing with the PO is good, since it appears they will be laying off a lot of people here soon. I'd give you my email address but I got a questionable email from leaving it for someone else. Keep in touch via this site for now. Good luck!

Cyndi - hello fellow Floridian. How excited you must be; I assume you will be workamping as opposed to just traveling the country. I don't have an RV (yet), but one of my next steps. I have lived and worked in the national parks for sveral years, so I do have some information; some of the employee RV parks are very nice (liike at Lake, Yellowstone); some are not, but the comaraderie is worth any inconvenience. As for dorms, they are not like home; usually a 10 x 10 room, sometimes with sometimes not a bath. And most you share unless you get into management. The whole adventure is well worth it, one you will never regret. The adventure is what you make of it. Have a great time.
