Profile Information

Where have you lived and worked?
Coldfoot, Alaska
About Me:
Well, I am 27 and have spent a large part of my life in Tennessee. As an adult I lived in Blowing Rock, North Carolina for one year and a couple different places in Florida over a span of two years. I am taking a break from school, in part to see if I want to continue a career in aerospace or follow my passion in history. I am not sure how long I will do seasonal work, but I am ready to see as much as I can. Oh, and I want to take up photography.
Favorite Seasonal Job:
Not seasonal, but being a historical interpreter at a civil war battlefield.
Dream Job:
Owning my own restaurant.

You're going to beat me up there! I get in on Saturday. Well, I'll make it to Deadhorse early Sunday morning. I land in Fairbanks about 1 am Sunday and fly out at 7 to Deadhorse

No dates yet. He said hopefully by Monday. But I've also been asked if I'd consider going up in about three weeks to handle the seasonal transition. If I can make the dates work I'm going to do that. Hopefully I'll hear back from Brett this week. If I'm going early March I've got to get busy!

I haven't heard from Brett yet. Just the first interview. Brett was supposed to have called by yesterday.

I haven't heard anything yet. They said it should be about two weeks - which was up yesterday. i'm going to wait until Monday and then email. I know they've got a lot going on and it will take some time - but I'm hoping for a positive. They hired me once before so unless I said something wrong in the interview I *think* I'm ok. I really want to work Coldfoot so I haven't applied anywhere else yet, but that might have to change if I don't hear something soon. I'm just assuming they've been really busy with ice road season kicking off and the generator stopping working.

Have you checked out It took me a while to find it but it's a blog by one of the servers who is up there right now. Gives some really good insight into living up there.

As far as Houston, I moved here when my last job sold me out. My sister lives here - which is about my only connection. I've been here since August and it's ok. Defenitly not my favorite place though. Which is why I'm on Coolworks - much more my style!

Anyway - here's to hearing something soon!
