summer seasonal alaska usually provides room and board cheap- $5-15/day. Daytime servers get hired easier because most want to work night(s) so they a)will make more and b)can party all night and sleep in.

From what I found not everyone wants experience. They seem willing to train. Ever though of driving a tour bus? Holland American owns Greyline in Alaska and trains all there own drives for their CDL. Working the land bases for other cruise lines is another option. Once you get that first job then you will have experience. The pay seems to be minimum wage almost everywhere unless you have experience in bookkeeping or HR. Some driving jobs pay better also. Some have other benefits and some don't. You just really have to explore each job. Take a look at Signal Mountain Resort in the Grand Tetons, from what I have read they seem to be a great place to work. If we weren't headed for Minnesota next summer that is where we would apply.
Good luck with your search.

Hi Di,
Have you considered the Western States. How about Grand Teton, Yellowstone or Glacier National Parks. Alaska is also a good place to look. As for winter you might want to look into the South West unless you like snow. Check out the various groups and check out what folks have to say.
