Karen said… - I have lost about 20 lbs since I got here, I have a goal of having to buy new pants before the season is over. Mostly from walking. I have hiked several trails but not down the North Kaibab yet into the canyon.

- I haven't heard much partying going on, once or twice since April. when you get here, look me up, I'll have a name tag on, either at the front gate or at the campground.
the laundry is right across the street from the dorms, there is an employee shuttle from the housing area to the lodge and store. also, very well marked trails if you would rather walk.

- The housing for Forever is in dorms, they don't look too bad from the outside, but i have not been in them. The employee dining room food smells good when I drive by, but again, I have not eaten there because I live in an RV and cook all my own meals. I work for the Park Service, at the entrance station and the campground. I love it here. The weather is nice, not ever hot, you'll need a sweater or sweatshirt at night.
Will you have a car with you? It is 75 miles to Kanab, the closest town with any stores, and 125 to St. George,Utah or Page, AZ. Both of those have Wal-mart, but St. George is the place that has everthing--mall, movies, Best Buy, etc.
