Along the lines of those places mentioned - and I have worked in all of them - I would say be sure and not miss Aspen, Telluride, Vail and Jackson in the summer. Also, I personally also like the Victorian mining town turned gambling mecca, Central City/Black Hawk, something like 70 miles from Breck.
Don't mean to be a downer but one of my room mates at Glacier spent several summers with GPI, then tried the North Rim and came back saying he hated it. Jellystone, like Glacier, has widely differing locations but I was in the Accounting Department there one summer at Old Faithful and had to leave to go back to Glacier I liked it so little. They do have nice dorms at YNP, although I had hurt my leg and couldn't do my normal night audit job and - as a day worker in my 50s - had to share a room with another on another schedule as well as a bathroom with another room. Jellystone HIKING is really something. We had six 9 hour days as we were shortstaffed but one day off I did the 30-mile triangle at Old Faithful and it was great. I had breakfast at one meal hall and took off, postholing over the pass as the first person to report in to the Rangers for the season, and made it back in time to have dinner at one of the other meal halls. I have worked a couple of summers in Telluride and it is something else with great studios at Big Billie's, free transportation, amazing entertainment, decent hiking and pretty high pay. Two perennial pieces of advice - look EARLY and always get some first hand scuttlebutt from a current or recent employee.
