Hey Greg, I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to reply sooner. Life can be a bit hectic at times.

I went up to Mt. Rainier and picked up my friend. It is so totally beautiful up there. Very rustic. I was supposed to start today, but I have had to decline the position due to personal reasons. I had applied for the night auditor position, but it was filled. It must have been you! I was hired as front desk. I'm sorry we won't be working together after all. Please let me know how you like it up there.

With regard to my friend, she is from the Phillippines and has never seen snow, arrived late at night and realized how remote it is, that there is NO cell service, and NO internet. There is supposed to be one dial up connection for the employees to share, but it wasn't working when I was up there in Mid-May. Personally, I think there would be much happier employees if they had some form of communication to the outside world. The offices have high speed internet, so I know it is available. I'm not sure why they don't make it available to all....maybe it is a budget issue.

Have fun up there. Keep us posted as to how it is.

Hey greg - I have student loans and a car payment and car insurance as well, but i lived at home back with my parents for a couple of years, saved up some money, and hit the road a week and 1/2 ago and now i'm here in Bozeman and going to be doing seasonal work this summer. once thats done, i'll go back home and find a job until next summer when i do the seasonal thing all over again. There are alot of seasonal jobs in which you really can use your experience in hotels... alot in yellowstone as guest service agents. and you work, save up your money, dont spend alot, and do it all over again the next year, either back at the same place or a new place. its just a different way of life and you have to prepare yourself for it. its fun though!
