The Salmon Bake is officially open! Last night was a blast and I'm stoked to be working again. Stop in and say hi, I'll be behind the bar. Can't wait to meet some of you!
Mike- If I remember correctly the only brand that we had throughout the canyon and even up in Fairbanks is Odwalla. It's very similar to Naked and has a bunch of different flavors and whatnot. Not sure about the fridge thing though.
The Chevron got purchased by the Salmon Bake this winter and will be run by them now.
Kyle, Healy is a really small town. It has a school with softball and soccer fields, The Totem Inn which has a bar and restaurant, Rose's Cafe where you can eat the one pound hamburger and get your picture put up on the wall, two gas stations, a b...
yeah the chalets has a fitness room. not super glamorous, but it's something.
I'm headed to Hawaii for two weeks then Homer for another week before I make my way to Denali. Just finished my last shift today and cannot wait for this summer to be here.
If you work for Ararmark, the train is free.

Rob said… - I'm not coming back this year. We decided to go to a resort in northern Minnesota. We wanted to come, but with the nursing program being dropped it just wasn't worth it for us. We'll do really well at this place, they have a ton of weddings and the housing is cheaper and amazing. It's on Lake Superior. What made you decide not to go back to the Glow? I guess bartending at the bake will be amazing, so I answered my own question. Sorry to bring you down Helen!
