Christina, sounds like you have done this quite a bit. I am interested in learning how you got started and where you got all your info. Do you keep you home in Florida while you are away or have you gone to an apartment?

Thanks to everyone who posted on here. I am new and interested, and I had concerns about where best to work as an older and bolder, as well as the housing. I've already learned a lot in the few minutes of reading. I am 56, single. In great shape a...

Christina, I had heard that room and board is provided for in some places. If not I don't know how you could make enough to pay for room and board and have anything left over to make it home on. I don't need a good paycheck, but I need enough to g...

Jackie, It is September 09 and I am just beginning to reseach the possibility of older/bolder work and travel. I just found out about it from some friends that went to Alaska this summer and when to Florida last winter. I am about to turn 60 and w...

Hmmm...I think most of the comments here about Yellowstone were about the summer season there. Now they are open all year, but the winter might not have as many openings. It's somewhat slower and they do a lot of winter recruiting from their summe...

Hi Jackie, I see that Lost Creek is not listed under "ranch jobs" any more. Go to the bottom of coolworks home page and type Lost Creek Ranch in the search box. It will come up and you can click on the sight. If you and your sister decide to fill out applications ,feel free to put my name in under personal reference as a coolworks.com friend. Mike the ranch manager knows Ann and I well. He is a really nice person. He would like to add more older & bolder employees this summer for all the obvious reasons if you know what I mean. You can even call him to pick his brain and answer any questions you might have. Stay in touch and keep me posted.

Hi Jackie, Ann went to work at Lost Creek Ranch. It's in Moose, Wy. close to Jackson Hole. We are both going this summer for 09 season. Did you get a chance to view any of the photos at ronpyron.smugmug.com? Rita.
