About Me:
I'm 27 years old and finally figured out that sitting at a desk staring at a computer all day is NOT what I want to do with my life (especially since I dont even get vision insurance). I finally applied to a few seasonal jobs for the spring/summer/fall of 2009, and waiting to hear from them - although i know which of them I really want to do already :-)

There's very few things that I dont like doing or can't get into, but there are a few i cant stand, one of them being Golf (not the miniature kind). Dont know why, i just cant stand it.

I want to see the world, but for now i'm going to start with the USA and Canada because i'm absolutely terrified of airplanes especially over the water (and no, not since the "miracle on the hudson" episode).

I'm easygoing, relaxed, and nice - which is why i dont fit in with most of these people here in NJ. Give me a shout, add me, or send me a comment.

I wish you all nothing but lots of fun, beautiful mountains, clear blue oceans, and a lifetime of memories!

Wow

So i'm sitting here this morning at my computer, drinking my cup of coffee, flipping through the channels to find something "decent" on tv on a saturday morning, trying to neglect the fact that today is Valentines Day and all the evil that comes along with it LOL.... and I had a "wow" moment.

I've spent the better part of the last 2-3 weeks chatting with many fellow coolworkers, in the MyCoolWorks chat room... we've been talking about where we are going to be working this summer, how many days… Continue

My "So-Called" Life

It is 10:35AM on a Sunny morning, temps will be about 70 degrees today... not a cloud in the sky. I'm sitting here in my "cubicle", in the office of a large insurance company, responding to people's "i need this.. can you set up this meeting... how do you do this...". And i think to myself, that if any of these people really knew what was so important in life, they probably wouldn't be here. But yet they are all blinded by big bucks. Sometimes I sit here and wonder and think about my life at 26… Continue

Hey Jason,
When you get back to Jersey and get settled in, it would be great if you could share some of your Conservation Corps experiences, and your life experiences that spun off of those, with our MyCoolworks fans. FB is great but don't forget about us. ;-} We need your vibe in here.

I'm having a great time so far. I saw where you made it to Montana, and I hope that you have as great a time as I am having. Also, I share the same fear of airlines over water.

Hi Jason, I'm in the EDR (employee dining room) cooking monday and tuesday, but wednesday I have off. Drive up to the Lake Yellowstone Hotel, and pull into one of the parking lots, and ask for the employee dining room, or personel, or food and Beverage manager. See you soon, good travels.

Sounds exciting.. I'm looking at Pine point Lodge... but i have no money saved. So I'm not sure if its a good idea.. They say that they pay 1,200 a month.. but i don't want it monthly.. i need it semi-monthly.... Do most pay every 2 weeks? Direct deposit or what...

Yeah, I'm stuck in MS though. I want to get out and explore but there are things that are keeping me from doing so (ie. car payment, student loans, car insurance, etc).. Plus i'm worried that its only a seasonal job. I wish i can find a year round job in a nice location.. any resort ideas? I have a college degree lol, but i can't find a job. So i'm doing the hotel thing. How where you able to move so much and have a place to stay? LOL
