Giving up my home

HI everyone, ,Just wondering if anyone has had success in giving up their "homebase" and doing seasonal work only. I would like to rent out my home for one year, or longer and focus on working only seasonal jobs with room and board.  Just wondering how feasible it is, I worry if there ended up being a large gap between gigs/seasons I would have no where to land.  I could visit family, but that would really only work for a few weeks.  My main goal is to save money and to do some travel.  I have…See More

New to seasonal work

Very excited at being offered the position of Banquet Manager at the Basin Harbor Club in Vermont for the 2018 Summer season. This will be my first seasonal gig, and am finding I am both excited and scared at the same time, which I think is healthy. I will be giving up my home and putting everything in storage, so will have no "home base", which is the scary part. My plan is to work seasonal jobs for one to two years and will travel or visit family between gigs. I have never been able to afford…See More
