Weather in Yellowstone National Park

Sorry if you were on the edge of your seat for last night's post. I took my love to town and the blog didn't happen. Not really, hubby, but I did go into Gardiner with the gang. We checked out the two bars in

town.

It's Still Winter in Yellowstone!

Posted on April 6, 2010 at 5:49am 2 Comments

I'm running out of pre Yellowstone chatter.

So let's talk weather. It's Spring in Ohio. Last night all of the flowering trees put their heads together and came up with this.

My allergies stood up and noticed.

It was 80 degrees today. I'm not ready for this yet. Just a few weeks ago I was wearing jeans and a sweater.

I look better covered up.…

(My most recent blog post at http://yellowstonedreaming.blogspot.com)

Let's get a few things out of the way before we discuss the caldera problem.

Yellowstone is not in Arizona, California, Colorado, or Detroit. Still

not sure where it is? Like my mother used to say, you'll never learn

unless you look it up yourself. May I suggest wikipedia.org for the… Continue

What do I Need to Bring?

Posted on March 18, 2010 at 4:20am 12 Comments

I make lists. Lots of lists. Of course I usually lose them. My children were at Yellowstone last year, so they have told me what to bring, but somehow, I suspect they have left something out. Would the "mature" workers out there let me know the one thing they wish they had dragged along. I will be driving, so have a little more room. I know about shower shoes and that kind of thing. Planning is part of the fun to me.

Thanks Judy. I did buy a book called Short Term Job Adventures by Michael Landes. I would be going for the adventure. I just need enough to pay for room and board and to get me there and back. I will read your blog. To start I have volunteered as a Park Ambassador at our local National Park that is only 20 miles away. I thought I would do this first to see if I like it.

I am still trying to figure out how you do this seasonal job thing. How do you prepare and who takes care of your house while you are gone? How do you pack and how do you know what living arragements you will have where you got your job? How do you know what to apply for? How did you choose where to apply to?
