i dont mind the price point you will be working with at lunch and dinner in obsidian dining room at snow lodge. If you dont have much experience in the field im sure i can come up with some subtle suggestions that will make your guests spend more money on food, on you, and love you for it. i think it will be a tricky clientele to consistently count on great tips.
when do you get on hwy east and how do you occupy your time in portland

pdx to yellowstone is not a bad boat to be on jules. although i go on lots of vacations i keep coming back to the job i got when i first came to portland 4.5 years ago. I have never had more fun working or made more money than i have making fondue tableside at the Melting Pot.
i dont have to report for my summer gig until very late may but im planning on driving early to mid may and finding a badass trail to hike or do some camping in yellowstone before it gets too busy. i was in the area for six weeks last year and i only drove through the park.
i will have lots of questions about what its like to serve for xanterra and for those kind of tourists. Im afraid your funny/annoying guests stories will outnumber mine 20 to 1 and i will look forward to those too.

Hope you enjoy working at Old Faithful.... I have absolutely no experience with F and B, serving or otherwise, so unfortunately I can't offer any advice that way. Just be flexible, willing to work, prompt, and you should do well!
