Denise, not only CAN you but lots of people do. There is an employee campground at the North Rim where people who work for the park service and who work for Forever Resorts live.

I want so bad to take off this summer, and even to let this become a part of my lifestyle year round eventually. I just have to get rid of my house first, and I think I'd be lucky at this point to even pay it off. I had offers to Mesa Verde-crossed that off. Grand Targhee Resort-it sounds good, but you have to pay so much just to stay there-so probably not there either, and Martha's Vineyard-the same thing. Can you tell me about the jobs, housing, etc. at the North Rim? Where ever I go, I need to have my own place, or at least, someone more my age. Can't handle the party scene anymore. I have 2 girlfriends who may work at the South Rim. They are drivers, as am I. Any info at all would be appreciated. Thanks so much, and enjoy the view! Cathy

About Me:: My hubby and I sold our house and all our "stuff" in 2000, now we live full time in a travel trailer. We work at campgrounds and resorts to make a living. Last summer we worked in Gettysburg, PA. The summer before that we worked at a campground on a river in Virginia. This season we are working for the National Park Service at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon!

I write a blog about our everyday life living in a travel trailer. I interview people at places we go, and write about what we see and do during our travels.
