Too bad you couldn't have seen the rodeo or the Indian museum while you were there, or even Buffalo Bill's hotel. Hiking up the river on the trail is pretty cool. Do they still let the staff help herd the horses back up to the corral? The river's pretty cold but you can take a truck inner tube back down - not bad on a hot day.

Hi Katie,
Did Pahaska turn out to be intersting? The summer I was there, a couple went hiking and were stalked overnight at a platform by a grizzly, with the dude shooting off his six-gun all night and the girl scared silly.
