Going from the San Juan Islands to Nebraska is a change and you will figure out the next job or step. Good Luck!

I see you are from the Husker State as I am too, grew up in Omaha. Now in Colorado and can relate to the nanny job as I was a personal assistant to a wealthy family gor six years and had a nanny for the kids and I felt Iwas the nanny for the adults. Going back to NE for the summer? Whudbey is great I used to stay at The Langley Inn often.

i'm jealous! you got to ride the steam train? silverton durango?
i had free tickets that couldn't be used due to sold out nature of schedule for months in advance.
i love steampower and it's a big but underutilized part of going offgrid. i used to live up the road in ainsworth/bassett.

That's kind of crazy because the family I work for now lived on Whidbey Island for a couple of years. Hope you're having fun, being a nanny is the greatest, isn't it?
