Greetings,
I have just over a month to go befpre I head to Yellowstone National Park. I have started going through to process of getting everything I need for the season and making a list of items I will need to get. I have also been trying to get as much rest as possible because I know it will be a busy summer in Yellowstone, and I will be busy exploring the park on days off.
What preperations are you making as your season arrival date approaches? How are you mentally…

Greetings everyone,
I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your summer seasons; I know I am. In the short 4 days I have been in Alaska, I have been on two dog mushing trips, been on a ferry ride and seen humpback whales, dolphins and one killer whale, have moved into a great apartment with two roommates (both zipline guides as well) with a full kitchen and bathroom, have been exploring Juneau (2 days there), have been exploring Skagway (since Friday), been out hiking,…

Greetings,
As the time nears for me to head to Alaska in 11 days, I can't help but feel a mixture of emotions. I am excited to arrive in Alaska, honored be a zipline guide for the summer, ecstatic to explore a new place, anxious about living in a town that has a year round population of 800 people, curious to see the employee housing, nervous about how I will fit in with the veteran zipline guides, interested in meeting the guests and learn where they are from, giddy to see…

I will be working at Grant Village from May 16th to Oct 3rd as a room attent.
I am very excited to be spending the summer in such a fabulous place.
Kellee said… Hi Leo thank you for the friend request. I actually have been trying to find a housing solution, because I have a four year old son. Not planning on taking a car and need to be close to a shuttle to work at Yellowstone. I tried the KOA, which at least told me there is a childcare center six miles from it.

I don't have any job offers yet but I have 2 interviews next week - one for GTLC & one for the Ranch at Rock Creek in Montana. I like the idea of a ranch job but not sure if the money will be as good as it is in a resort (I bartend & waitress.) Have fun in Yellowstone! If I work in the Tetons this summer I will definitely be making my way over there at some point :)
