On a hazy Sunday morning in October near Mesa Verde NP in Colorado I stumbled across this idyllic scene. It immediately became one of my favorite shots, and a framed copy is hanging on my kitchen wall. All photos are copyright protected.

Because it is on a main highway, Cullasaja Falls is one of the most viewed waterfalls in the area near my hometown. Once, back when we thought we were immortal, my brother-in-law and I climbed the falls and across the top. I don't recommend it! It...

We were hiking Logan Pass at Glacier National Park on a cold, windy day...Thank goodness for the support of our hiking sticks that my 90 year old uncle had made and the cables along part of the trail!

Profile Information

Hometown:

About Me:
Older and Bolder! My first "tour of duty" was in '97 in West Yellowstone, Montana - before I knew anything about CoolWorks! I resigned from a corporate Fortune 500 job to follow my heart, and have worked seasonal off and on since. For the most part, this has been on my own, but spent the better part of one year RVing/working with a friend who I introduced to "our" lifestyle. 'Tho I haven't worked seasonal in a couple of years, '09 may be the year to start again as I was just laid off from my job as a Visual Designer! My interests are travel (of course!) to include RVing, nature, hiking, exploring, searching out fossils and petroglyphs, photography, art, writing, theatre, interior design, floral design. I found a 15 million y.o. fern fossil on one of my treks, and on another trek found a huge chunk of petrified wood that has a rugged coastline ocean scene look. Honest! I loved my job in visual design, and do free-lance in re-design and floral design. In the years since I left my "real" job in '96, in addition to the seasonal work, I've gone to floral design school and opened a florist, and also to massage/spa school. And there's just another dream around the next bend! See some of my writing at ehow.com/members/HighlandsLady-articles.html and also at www.lin-hed.blogspot.com . My interior design website www.interiorredesign.net is currently under construction.
