Hi Keith and thanks for your reply! I guess I've always had the desire to relocate to Alaska. I recently designed a travel page for a story about Kenai Fjords N.P. . Our travel editor recently vis...

As long as you have no problems with working outside or with animals, there are a lot of jobs that could be something for you. Or do you want to work in the media again? Maybe you can give us a hint what your job preferences are. Then someone can ...

There is a boatyard in Seward that hires several times a year for permanent positions. There is also a college. Check the newspaper and craigslist for job opportunities. Check out this website; It is the state job network and it is a very good one...

Keith, great help and advice! I am just beginning to look into seasonal work at national parks. Nothing is set in stone, just researching all options at this point. Could you go into any more detail, or lead me to where I can do more research on ...

Howdy ! I suggest a small pull behind trailer. I've had 2 RV's. First one broke down & I couldn't afford to have it fixed. 2nd one ( gas engine ) sucked my wallet dry. Get a car or a pickup with a trailer hitch, that way you could drop the trailer...

Hi gang! Well I've decided to make my move in 2010. To make this move I would need to sell my home and most of my belongings. This could take a while. I have one concern. I have two small very well behaved Boston Terriers. I feel most park and lo...

Marie.
I would love nothing more than to live and work in Alaska.
But to leave a good paying job with benefits for a minimum wage seasonal job is not my idea of a great career move.

If I knew I could make this seasonal job evole into a full time position I would put my house on the market asap.

I guess I need to break out of the job security rut.

Mark,
Good luck with your interview! Scary isn't it? I left a stable teaching position in Indiana after 11 years, even though I didn't find a full-time position here in Murfreesboro, I still don't regret it! I just started subbing and it's helped me to realize that I don't think I want to teach anymore !?

Not quite sure what I want to do when I grow up !? Just going with the flow, and trying not to worry about too much !! You only go around once !!

Keep me posted !

Marie
