HELP! Winter at Old Faithful?

Posted on August 26, 2013 at 8:45am 4 Comments

Need some advice from anyone who has wintered at Old Faithful. I put in for a winter position here at Yellowstone and it is looking like I am going to get stuck at Old Faithful. I REALLY wanted to be here at Mammoth but those positions are very few and very very hard to get.

Being trapped at OF for the winter already has me paranoid. No way in, no way out. No vehicle.

Life is insane- got promoted again- this time to F&B Manager. LOL hostess to F&B Manager in one season.

The intertubz have been spotty here for the past week or so but did accept an offer to post season down at Old Faithful- so will be in Park til early November.

The Lamar Valley is always hopping with some kind of wild life and have been on a couple of hikes in the park. Going to get my back…

Well, unless you want to go get drunk at the employee pub. Most of the employee rec activities take place M- F- so those of us who drew Sat and Sun off are shit out of luck.

No wildlife here. There was a report of a grizzly wandering through one night- but we did not get to see it. A few bears if you…
