I am 1/2 Irish and have always dreamed of visiting Ireland... partied with a bunch of Irishmen (and women) in the early 80's when I was in the Marine Corps. I hope in 2-4 years to sail from here to there... anything you can tell me would be cool. I wish to research my background there. My mothers name ends in McDaniels... got any ideas where to start? And about sailing... I hear the seas are rough. When would the best time be?
