Hello, Rachel. I'm new to coolworks and have been offered a summer job in Yellowstone this summer. I'm also from Kentucky and I'm in the Lexington area for now. I was just wondering about your experience in Yellowstone. I am still debating whether I will accept or not. I think it would be a lot of fun but at the same time I'm apprehensive about going that far away, not knowing anyone, etc., etc. I would love a fellow Kentucky girl's thoughts....Thanks!!!

Hey! Sorry for the silence, haha...I'm actually still up in the air right now, because I may be flying out there. I will let you know as soon as possible, though.

I completely agree. I can't think of anywhere at the moment, but we could figure something out. Do you have a Facebook or any form of IM? We could also communicate through e-mail if you'd like.

I'm working out at the Elephant Head Lodge
(address: 1170 Yellowstone Hwy, Cody, WY 82414). It's actually located 11 miles east of the East Gate in the Shoshone National Forest, but it's right off the highway that takes you to the park. Do you know where you wanted to stop on the way out there? Or were you planning on driving straight through?

I'm not 100% positive about the east gate, because I've heard that it won't be open until late May...I'm sure we can figure something out! I've been having so many problems figuring out how to get out there, so this could be a great solution for us both. Also, if this helps, I currently work for Marriott hotels, and I could get us cheap rates at nice Marriott properties for the drive out there.

Hello! I read your comment that you said you're heading to Yellowstone in late April! If I was able to meet you in KY, would you be willing to have a road-trip partner? We can talk more if you want to get to know me first; I understand apprehension about sharing rides with strangers. :-)

Are you going through MN? I don't have a car, but wouldn't mind sharing gas from here and I live right off I-90. When do you have to be there?
