I called yellowstone yesterday for the dreaded post application follow-up!!!! I spoke with a very nice woman named Virginia, who informed me that she couldn't tell me anything because their computers had crashed! Bummer. BUT, she took my name and number with the promise that she'd call and let me know what was going on as soon as her computer was back up and running. I would apply ASAP for the safety of a "just in case." Driving to Alaska in your camper would be a fun trip in it's own. Stretching it out for a few weeks on the way up would be great.

I do hope you get your dream job this summer though. Just remember. . . Never put all of your eggs into one basket, and don't count your chickens before they're hatched. You could end up finding yourself in the corner. And there's nothing worse than having a "real job" Let me know how it works out.

They are still hiring, but this type of job goes fast. If you're still on hold with the Yellowstone job, then I'd put in an application at Ketchikan. It wouldn't hurt to have a plan B. What kind of job are you applying for in Yellowstone. Have you been to Alaska yet?
