One month to go...

I am starting to get a little anxious, now, with less than a full month remaining before we set out cross-country en route to JLL. Time was dragging by and then one day I realized I really only have about 3 weeks left after factoring in a visit/trip with a friend and the cross-country drive.
ZOIKS!
So now I am trying to clean up my room where I've been staying here in FL, make a list of anything I still need (without going overboard!), and thinking it may be time to start packing (which is alway… Continue

Anxious for summer season!

Funny. I thought it would take several weeks after leaving my job at Grand Canyon South Rim for me to even want to think about what lies ahead. I had already accepted my next assignment, retail associate at Jackson Lake Lodge in Grand Teton NP, before leaving, but I didn't really know much about it except for the stunning images I've seen of the area.
But I went ahead and posted a thread asking about working for GTLC, and so far I have heard nothing but positive replies! It sounds like a great p… Continue

Hi Tammy, I was looking for your blog "BEWARE". Did you delete it? My girlfriend will be finished with her summer seasonal which was on a ranch not far from where you were I couldn't make it..tore a rotator cuff and needed surgery. Any way she was so thoroughly impressed with this ranch the management and the treatment and perks for all the employees that she said she wanted to share this with everyone on coolworks to see if she can recruit some older & bolders for next summer season. When I read your blog I really felt terrible especially because you were so enthusiastic in May.
Sorry it was a bad experience but there are good places out there and when Ann gets back from Moose she will post her blog and maybe you might consider giving it another chance . The right place, right management and right co workers make all the difference......Rita H., Florida.

Welcome to Coolworks :0). I think you will like GTLC... it is a beautiful property. Nearby is Signal Mountain Lodge and they are famous for their Blackberry Margaritas. I recommend you try one... with the wings. Jackson Hole is nearby and the list could keep going on... Hiking in the area is awsome.
