"Glad to see some people that are going to Glacier. My husband & I will both be working in the warehouse at East Glacier. This is our 1st season. We will be getting away from the Texas heat YEAHHH! It will be fun to get up…"
"Tim: what department did you work in at McDonald. I was at the front desk the summer of 08 and loved it. Rising Sun is beautiful.
Chris: I am green with envy! I would love working at Sperry. How did you get that job?"
"i believe room & board starts out @ $11 a day for your first year & goes down a few bucks a year each season you return. Asst managers & managers usually get what they paid into food & housing back as a bonus @ the end of the year if…"
I've lived in Helena for most of my life, with a few years in Cleveland, OH , a few years in CA and a few in Spokane, WA. I DJ & will hopefully find work doing that a few years from now once I've gotten my fill of travelling & want to settle in one spot for awhile. Last summer was my first taste of seasonal life @ Lake McDonald Lodge in Glacier Nat'l Park. Last winter I worked as a Rental Tech in Aspen CO @ Highlands mountain, & this summer I will be Asst. Manager of the Rising Sun Camp Store.
Hey Tim! Yea, I'll be at Many Glacier in the dining room. I originally got at job at Rising Sun, but since my friend bailed on going with me, I decided to work at Many instead. I won't know anyone either, except you now, but I'm excited to experience things solo. I definitely want to go hiking, so I'll have to find you somehow. I do have some questions that maybe you can answer. How much is room and board? And, do the dorm areas have internet? See you soon! I'll be heading out there at the end of this month.
I am pumped up as well, I have been planning this since last year, when I first started my college career. I am looking forward to it. I am glad that I found this website, it is a great way to meet others that may be going as well.
Yeah, said I was taking a semester break from college to work in the parks and never went back. Going on my eighth season doing it, and still loving it. It's very addictive! Where do you plan on going?
