This time I have my son with me forever, his name is joshua and he is 13 yrs old.
Favorite Seasonal Job:
Lake Crescent Lodge
Dream Job:
Work In Alaska,Grand Canyon,or other resort

Currently

Iam currently attending college ,in my second semester, in Binghamton NY. My major here is Chemical Dependency Counseling and I hope to apply some of my experience to the resort feild.I will be looking for employment at a seasonal resort for the summer only as I will be attending college next fall. Also Iam a single parent so my son will be travelling with me in my employment search. Iam open to travel anywhere in the US, with preference to the southern states. I see a huge need for a Drug and Alcohol counselor in the resort feild and I strieve to make this opportunity happen at all resorts. I have been working in the resort management feild for the last couple of years and lets face it people; how much drugs and alcohol is present at your resort? And to all you people that are in a National Park Area, guess what , the government is telling the companies that are running the resorts that this issue has to be taken seriously, so they are making the companies hirer drug and alcohol counselors starting in 2011, and stricter regulations will be in place before you are employeed  Update, 12/13,2013 Currently employed as a Training Director for a major employer.in NY, we employ over 650 employees per season. I graduated College with degrees in counseling specializing in Chemical dependency, Suicide, and Sexual assault counseling. Prior to graduation I worked for the Family treatment court system in Ithaca NY as an counselor. I am very happy in my current job but I do miss the road as once it gets under your skin its hard to shake.

Hey Tim - I would like to keep in touch for the future. Right now I'm hoping to go to Maine this summer since I have a niece who is just moving there; but have also been told I'm a "strong candidate" for a new and different job in Yellowstone (worked there this last summer). Decisions! I've wanted to explore Olympic for some time. I have worked as Asst. Location Manager (3 summers Yellowstone); and Front Desk Manager in Glacier and Tetons (3 summers) before I started working for park service (just finished my 3rd summer with them). Enjoy the opportunities in both environments. Can you tell me what positions you might have for my qualifications? Thanks.

Hey Tim: Harry and Sandra.....Now living in Gatlinburg Tn. Left Lake Crescent in mid Sept and went to Bluff Lodge in North Carolina to work til the end of the season. Understand Brian was "relieved" of his position at Lake Crescent. Not sure of our plans for next year yet. This area is pretty dead. A few jobs and tons of people applying for them. Good to know you're doing ok.

Hey Tim, I've just downloaded the Crescent Lake job application. Are you still at the Lodge? With Forever Resorts?

I'm really interested in working there next summer. I'm a teacher in Los Angeles, "Older and Bolder", and would like to hear more about your experience there. Thanks! Jim
