Although we do not provide housing, there is plenty available in the area. Roommate situations too! The resort I worked at for the last few years rents cabins, lodge rooms and mobile homes for the winter season. Go to www.3riversresort.com and check it out. This is a nice option if you only want to rent for 1-5 months. We also have a cool bus system that started this year that goes from Gunnison to Crested Butte. I sound like a walking bill board for the area! I really enjoy living here and it is neat when other people come to the area and fall in love with it the way I did. I hope you enjoy the rest of the winter season. It must be a big change from Mexico!

The ski area has been making snow for the last couple of weeks preparing for opening day. Real snow is in the forecast! I guess it is finally time to switch to skis and put the mountain bike away for the season :)

Winter 2007-2008

Wow! What a season. I have never seen so much snow accumulate at once! December brought two feet on December 7 and it just kept coming. "Lucky" for me the storms came on my day off - Friday. Instead of skiing I was spending time shoveling the drive-way out. I took solice in the fact that the views couldn't be beat and if I had to be moving snow there is no other place I would rather do it. November 2007

Winter is approaching quickly! 23 degrees this
morning! The ski area is starting to make snow and I am gearing
up for another season of trying to achieve my goal - the ultimate tele
turn. I wonder if I ever reach it if I'll want to give up
skiing??? I can't imagine.....
