I live in the center of the US...Dumas, TX....located north of Amarillo. From 2002-2005 I worked for Delta Queen Steamboat Co and traveled the entire lengths of the Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers. From 2005 to present I have worked in Alaska for Holland America as a land tour director. My 'other' life (before 2002) was filled with planning and carrying out trips for local Girl Scouts. These trips included Colorado, California, and an 18 day trip to the East Coast (New York, Boston, with stops in Nashville, St. Louis, and Oklahoma City)
I love travel! I spent years dreaming of working in Alaska and the last few years were a dream come true. I have also sailed the rivers of North America on both the Mississippi Queen and American Queen Riverboats.
Last Seasonal Job:
Holland America/Grayline of Alaska
I love every place I've worked and have found that every job has been a 'dream' job. My life is a constant surprise!

Toni, I would love to work in tour sales or scheduling. I don't have experience, but I have traveled enuf to "get it". My history includes 28 yrs of same (aviation) type job. My fear is: my age (48) and the fact that I have been doing the same thing for long. Do you think my excellent work history w/ enthusiasm for travel, organization and ability to learn will be enuf? I need to be careful as am transistioning from a sedentary job....so tho I work hard...I am used to doing it in a chair! Your thoughts? Also, I am applying to Alaska but would prefer lower 48...do you have thoughts on where a first timer would adjust better? Thanks for taking the time for a newbie.
