that sure can symbolize a lot. hate the fact that it mostly makes me sad but love the fact that your shot has the power to make me feel. nj

really enjoy how sharp and detailed the shot is in the foreground and middle, and how much depth there seems to be without losing crispness and without blending the rocks in the back

Issues for the seasonal worker that have no motor vehicle. Whether it's an environmental, political, or financial decision many seasonal workers do not have their own vehicle. How easy is it to get to a place? Get around?

I liked Mackinac for the history (Revolutionary war battle in the interior part), 1812, and the butterfly house. A lot of sailboats which is another plus. There was good $$$ to be made there and having no cars on the island rocked; It was easy to get used to. Just remember to look both ways when you get back on the mainland; Believe it or not, it is easy to forget roads are for cars after 3 months on Mackinac Island. :)
It is a very nice and interesting spot, BUT, the employee culture there is "party 'til you drop, then party more". You will have to take it with a grain of salt if you want to take a break from raising hell :). It was a great place to make and save money when I worked there....2002.
Yellowstone will give you more variety... and will amaze you as well. Lake Yellowstone is a favorite spot of mine; It is huge. If I can answer any more questions, let me know... Cheers :0)

i do love it there tricia if you mean the general yellowstone area or montana or that mostly forgotten clump of states that includes montana, idaho, south dakota and wyoming..at least to see and play with. id have a much harder time living there full time. the open space, the distance everything is, its immensity, the quiet, the beauty and power of the natural world really gets under your skin and makes you crave it. you being at one of the biggest tourist destinations in the west may have to work a little harder. get away from the feeling that it is disneyland by tour bus. i know lots of people from the east who get out here and never go back. hope it treats you well

Welcome to Coolworks... a great place. Is South Haven anywhere near Mackinac Island? I worked there 2002.... Wild place.
I gotta agree with intheories, "Go West, young lady". The mountains are way different when you see them up close
:0) Welcome again... Akscootr

About Me:
College Junior majoring in Environmental Science and Journalism. Interests: conviction, elk, merry-go-rounds, danger, redemption, pain, Conversation, the Truth, LOST, yoga and flossing.

"If you think a young girl more beautiful than the old man half-eaten by cancer; a bouquet of roses more beautiful than a pile of feces; a new fat tire more beautiful than an old lacy flat worn one; if you think the crystal-clean Miami Beach walk more beautiful than the vomit and mucus-spittle smeared skid-row walk...

than I say you are frightened, have never really looked into beauty- don't know what you call beautiful or ugly are only effect and the cause- pure beauty. Yes, the cold relentless irrefutable laws of this-makes-that, the gorgeously impersonal laws of pus and scabs, fire and water, drop and break and the flaming cometed geometrical warp of the cosmos.

If you think he more beautiful than she, or she than he, or his than hers, or hers than his- if you would be alive... your hope lies as much in the dissonant decayed, as in the melodic ripe lush flesh; each only the end and result of truth; wonderfully functional, believable, dependable, omnipresent truth."
