Harold C. Berg ~ August 17, 1916 to October 31, 2009

The World lost a good man Saturday night but we had him for 93 good years.

Harold was born on the Berg farm west of Atwater Minnesota and left us a few hours ago, with Helen and Bill at his side, in Englewood Florida. He said the town doctor used to say that “if you live long enough something will kill you”. Even Harold couldn’t buck those odds but he loved life, he lived long and well, and he lives… Continue

Great Country, Great Friends & Dinner with a Nobel Prize Winner

Sitting in this ridiculously gorgeous lobby at Jackson Lake Lodge - the sun has faded and so, too, the peaks.

It was a very good day, full of the things that brought me back to this Yellowstone-Teton area to stay after misguided attempts, years ago, to find a real job.

Delivered a Cool Works sweatshirt to Scott a… Continue

Hahahahah thanks Bill that was spectacular. It was funny because my girl friend is from Marshall and we were on our way to the cities. I read the signs when we were passing through Darwin and I started to act like a dog needing to go out. I was like pull over, pull over now!

Thanks for your note, Bill. I discovered Cool Works too late to be involved this summer, but I will keep alert to see what comes up! As for interesting jobs, I sometimes think my entire life has been dedicated to being interesting at cocktail parties LOL!

Hey Bill! hope your travel was safe. I was looking at you winter in Yellowstone pics and wanted to share my winter in east tn pics with you. If you get a chance, look at my Facebook pics (I use that one a lot more). The Bald River Falls pics were taken the day after Christmas. Our winters have been so mild. Our kids have been out of school for flooding, cold, and bad storms. It is truly unpredictable here. I would also like for you to see some pictures of the Cherohala Skyway. It is one of our favorite places to visit and hike. It is about 2 hrs from Chattanooga and 25 minutes from our cabin in Tellico Plains.

You're absolutely welcome! The authenticity award is cool - and a little weird. We Cool Works Five get a lot of satisfaction out of doing this. We've been there and really enjoy trying to figure out how to use our work to help others get out there and expand their horizons. Keep telling your stories - they inspire others and they inspire us.
