Been a guest at The Denali Princess in the past; so I knew where I was going. Go to Princess.com and why not.

Hi Cindy, I will be managing the campstore at Lake Macdonald come May 14th in Glacier Park, MT. I see on their sight, Glacier Park, Inc. they have openings still. Check it out. Managers are salaried and have the option of special living conditions, I am pretty certain. The season runs from May 14 to Sept 30. Hope this works. Glacier is a complete knock out and Lake MacDonald is on the west side so it is somewhat balmy. Good luck, margee p.s. Last I looked, GPI is looking for a sight manager that screams of your experience.

Hi Cindy, I guess I decided that its a now or never thing. I discovered coolworks last year but in looking at all the postings most hiring was done in February and and done by the end of March. So I knew that I would need to come back then. I started looking again in January and there were a few new postings mostly last minute end of winter season openings. I put in an online application and as the jobs appeared I applied. I am really excited about this. It is a chance to travel to places I've never been to and meet new people. So thats the story.

Your age doesn't really factor in to anything as far as Princess is concerned. Unfortunately all of my positions are filled for 2008. If you are interested in Alaska I would recommend applying in December or January for the following summer. Lots of apps come in and employers are looking to fill positions earlier every year. I would recommend doing some research on Alaska and finding a region of the state that you really are interested in. The state is so big and regions vary tremendously. Find someplace you like and then look for employers in that area. Check out a book called The Milepost. It is great for all things Alaska.

Hi cindy,

Glad you jumped in and if you've got a good gig going on, no need to change. Just knowing they're out there is nice. My last "seasonal" gig lasted 11 years so I know how that goes.

Kari :)
