PJH, You must be kidding! There is no management other than the owners. There are only 3 dorms and one is for department supervisiors. You must have really needed a job and a place to live as this is a terrible place for older people. The tv room ...

From what I have read, there is not a problem in leaving the U.S., it's getting back in when you pass from Canada into the U.S. Better safe than sorry, you may still have time to get a passport!! Tom

Profile Information

Hometown:
Niceville FL
About Me:
Semi retired from the ratrace, but I would like to try seasonal work, just haven't gotten around to trying it yet. I love the outdoors, nature, fishing, but don't like nasty people,(who does)?? I live in NW Florida where we are subject to hurricanes, I'd rather be near a mountain stream.
Dream Job:
Sitting by a trout stream with mountains all around, peace & quiet

First Tom, do some reasearch - where would you really like to go on your first seasonal job? With that decision everything else will fall into place and easily too. Being 50+ is not a drawback. It is a plus as most employers are looking for those that will show up for the job they are hired for.

Second decision is to decide what kind of work do you want to do. Here at Jackson Lake Lodge, if you have maintenance type skills, you are treated like a God.

Once the decision is made as to what you want to do, apply for jobs begining in January and February. Be sure to choose at least three places that you want to work and go for it.. you will be glad you did!

Happy trails....
