We've lived in Alaska, Hawaii, Utah, Maine, Florida, Wyoming, New Mexico, California, Louisiana, and Arizona, and separately, I've also lived in Boston, around Ohio, and Iowa. I'll be home for Christmas...If only in my dreams

One of the hardest parts of working seasonal jobs is that you can't go home for the holidays. Ski resorts, bed & breakfasts, lodges, hotels, and ranches are busiest during the holiday rush. With free park admission there is always something to do on your days off (I love to people watch). Plus all you have to do is work 8 hours a year and you get to keep all your discounts when you are done. I am going to pick up this years shift next week actually. I don't know about getting to the Islands but working for the company anywhere would be a good way to get your foot in the door and find out, I know they have interest meetings for the cruise line every do often.

But I agree, he and I met doing an internship at Disney. We decided to take a month and road trip across the states before going back to school. One of best times we had was when we got stranded in Las Vegas when our car broke down. Its the things that you don't plan that make up the things you remember.
