About Me:: gina, janice and mike...settling on vast acreages on big island of hawai'i; farm and self-sufficiency training areas.
growing bamboo mainly but also farming hugely diverse foods and forests.
we'll be fabricating furniture, architecture, and even textiles.
the 'schools' are for the various trades required to be independent from "da man"......food/shelter/energy/transport////

At 10:17am on November 28, 2008, CharD said…: HaHa. Loved the comment. As for "got beef," I'm always torn between having more possessions (land) and trying to be self-sufficient and having less and being free to go. Having less "stuff" means I'm more likely to get to Hawaii one of these days.

I also started my freshman year in Pahoa high... the background in photo #3 sure brings back some memories. I hope you are growing some guava; I sure miss picking it and eating as well as papaya.
