- I worked as a "janitor" at mammoth Hot Springs, YNP, in 1984. It was the one of the most adventurous summers of my life thus far. I hiked as often as I could, even did some "bushwhacking" and met up with a grizzly bear...that's a tale. I met a lot of awesome people, I met Corey Knowlen (and I'd love to know how he is these days). I loved hiking and Corey. I would love to work near or in the wild places though. Maybe even mesoamerica to work on the Mayan excavations?

My teenager would love to come work and adventure with me, is that possible? I know there is the "youth corp" etc., and age requirements, but, we want to do it together. The way we look at it is, it would be like having a really cool vacation, but working hard at the same time. Would a concessions like Xantara even hire a parent/teen combo? We wouldn't need to "work" at the same job (although, that would be OK) but we would definitely have to lodge together. Does anyone out there know if this is… Continue
