Im on an H2B....till october...then i guess i apply to companys who participate in the h2b programme...i beleive its only a matter of a couple of forms...i had it done last year, but then i was working through an agency..so im not too sure..they just gave me the new form. It only took a couple of weeks. I believe it still depends on the job in the sense that there has to be a demand for the worker...but i think its pretty easy..
Wellfleet i have only been there for just a week, so dont know the area too well yet...the tips are ok at the moment...do get a higher hourly wage, but im told that from this weekend...the tips get pretty good. will let you know!
Town is pretty nice, you definetly need a bike or car...well i think...where my housing is...fair walk to the store etc...but a nice walk. There is a bus service that runs to like orleans etc...which is a lot cheaper for groceries...and the bus is $1 to ride..so pretty cool.
But give me a couple weeks and i will probably know more!!
I would love to hear about your impressions of the Wellfleet area. I have thought about spending some time working there... I tend bar and wait tables. What are the daily sales of the servers? Are the take-home tips good? Thanx for the info.... akscootr
Welcome and thanks for joining. I always thought Cape Cod would be a great place to spend the summer. You probably have a big weekend coming up - I'm guessing Memorial Day is the kick off to the summer back there. Where are your working?
