Please let me know if you get on or not. I applied for the switch board at the Grand Canyon. They sent me an email that said they had filled the position with a qualified candidate. I was sad. I applied for everything at Death Valley. We'll see?

I think you are right. A ski resort would be a stupid idea. PLUS everywhere I looked the staff housing is outrageously priced. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HEADS UP! Know any cool places to work that are warm?

So if the hubs and I get a job at a ski resort what kind of clothes do we need?

We live somewhere with mild weather and don't own any heavy duty clothes. SO if the hubs and I get a job at a ski resort what kind of clothes do we need? We don't ski so we don't need ski clothes BUT just day to day clothes?

And on another note where is the best place to work for the summer?

Anyone worked at the South Rim? Heard a few things about it and none were good. What do you think? I hope to hear some good things because I think it would be an awesome job!!!

Desperately Seeking Winter Work Somewhere Warm For The Hubs and I

My husband and I would LOVE to find some winter-spring, or longer, work somewhere warm. I have tried Ocean Reef but they are not hiring. So I am hoping some one has some ideas. We will be needing somewhere to live also so staff housing is a must. We do not want to live in the middle of no where with very few employees. The middle of no where is fine if say 1,000 people work there. The Keys would be amazing, but we are open to almost anywhere. If someone knows of a job or knows someone that is hi… Continue

Xanterra treats there employees by giving them a crappy EDR food program at least they did in Yellowstone . The food there is just total crap. Housing is not the greatest in the world at all depending on the parks Also most of the managers working for Xanterra didn't really care to much about there job or the employees from what I experienced in YS back in 05 , who knows it could be different. Xanterra did lose the North Rim prolly due to most of those facts .

Hey Brandy , well I am working in the North Rim , Season is almost thank gawd ! It was an enjoyable summer tho . All I did was apply online here at cool works main website and wait about 3 weeks or so to get the job. The south rim is ran by Xanterra and IMO I wouldn't work the company is horrible to work. If you wanna work some where find a fun ski resort , most are still hiring right know. Good luck .
