My Great Adventure has Begun

So do you remember growing up there were always things you wanted to be sure you did sometime in your lifetime?  For me traveling to Alaska was always a fantasy of mine.  Not really sure why ..... heck it gets really cold in Alaska and I've been living in Texas for the last 40 years.  My wife and many of my friends frankly think I'm nuts.  Why travel 4000 miles, risking life and limb, so you can (1) cope with sub-freezing temperatures, (2) enjoy a communal bathroom at 2am, (3) haul water…

soda butte lodge

Hi I recently accepted a position as a Bartender at the Soda Butte Lodge in Cooke City, MT. was wondering if any one knows anything about their housing or what it is like in cooke city. I have worked for xanterra at lake for the last four years and I wanted to try something different.... anyone know if there is a drug scene in cooke city bc that is something I do not want to be subjected to. an info helps. thanks so mu h!!

A Little Over a Month Away

In exactly 44 days, 13 hours, and 25 minutes, I will be boarding a Delta Airlines plane out of Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport and after a long day of layovers in Atlanta and Salt Lake City, I will finally touch down in Bozeman. I"m pretty excited about going back to Montana and Wyoming. The last time I was there was back in 2009 when I was sixteen years old. I went as a tourists with my best friend and her family. Letters to Congress

I am beyond annoyed with our supposed representatives in D.C. They need to get to work- for we, the people. This is the letter I sent to both my Senators and my Congressman this morning.

Final Countdown: as your summer season arrival day approaches....


I have just over a month to go befpre I head to Yellowstone National Park. I have started going through to process of getting everything I need for the season and making a list of items I will need to get. I have also been trying to get as much rest as possible because I know it will be a busy summer in Yellowstone, and I will be busy exploring the park on days off.
