Thanks for being here! The six of us at CoolWorks welcome you and wish you success in finding your Jobs in Great Places®!
Whoa - guess that would eventually happen. Glacier National Park under Glacier Park Inc. was my first seasonal job and got me moving in all kinds of directions. Ten years later and I was looking to see what jobs were available for GPI, Inc. there were none listed and I couldn't figure out why and now I know. So, I applied for one of the Red Bus Driver jobs... cross my fingers and hope I get a call, like real soon!

I have been diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure; Angina; and my health isn't nothing to write home about! But I am a heart attack survivor. I would not wish this upon any one as it also has caused anziety; anger; depression and bouts of anger not being able to function like I used to. Oh; I also have COPD!
Have a safe and enjoyable work experience and I wish you all the best!

I just love this famous Mark Twain quote ...
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
I know there are lots of folks out there that have been frustrated and jobless in our not so hot economy. Maybe this is the summer you quit just sitting around waiting for the phone to ring…Continue
Christmas in Texas - how I use to want to be home in Texas when I was living somewhere else... Been home since September and my left foot is getting itchy to travel once again. Got that Class B CDL to drive a tour bus, but it seems the tour bus company I drove for during the summer doesn't want me any more... hmmm - maybe it is time to change professions and become a truck driver with a Class A.... onward TexasAnnie (sung to Onward Christian Soldiers).....
Hi, I will be working at the Lake Yellowstone Hotel this summer. I'd welcome any comments from past workers or hellos from others set to be there this summer.
Emotionally, some of us are bruised, battered and beaten! Doesn't matter how we got there because pointing fingers never solved anything. Even pointing fingers at ourselves will not pamper that emotional body, who is crying out for some love. We get into the rat race of life, forget about our feelings, how to tender, love, and care for them when needed. Create Balance!!

Well, we've just been notified of two things. Number one, our housing ( no food program except 20% discount at restaurants on location) went up by 59 bucks a month. So, for a room in a four-plex its now going to be $579 per month. as of January. Then, they've cut back our hours, hoping for snow or else its going to be real lean. Even our pastry shop is going to be closed at least one day a week.
I'm kinda looking around for other options.

Red Rock mountains surrounding me,
Bright green Quaking Aspens shaking when the wind blows.
Red, Yellow and white Tulips standing tall atop their green stems,
Sitting outside enjoying the view of the little town of Torrey At Cafe
Diablo, a yellow house like restaurant, that is bustling with excitement,
from the cooks to the waitresses and the customers enjoying their food
with gusto. Passionate people coming together as a team to make…Continue

As the sun rises from the East,
The sun also sets in the west,
The golden yellow and orange fiery sun,
Beams with delight from morning till night,
As we rise with the sun, it awakens us each day with God's glory.
As the sun sets in the horizon,
We also settle in and get cozy and cuddle next to our loved ones.
It is an amazing object of mystery,
Brings us light into our life,
Making us feel warm and…Continue

Walking home from work at dusk,
Full moon shining above,
Planet Jupiter shining bright in the night sky,
Cool breeze blowing through the fields of yellow grass,
Windy whispers of soft howling in the long walk home.
I experience a great sense of peace and serenity, and calm
while the darkness of the evening sky sets in.
This is what it feels like in the wonderful town of Torrey.

As the night moves in, the moon lights up the dark blue sky,
The stars glitter in the far distance of the vast space above us,
The trees are a dark silhouette from the moon shining above
The deep dark canyon,
The night is quiet and still with a slight breeze that makes the tree
Leaves flutter with a soft serene sound that makes me feel
peace in my heart and soul.

I perfume the air around me,
And I bloom in the spring and summer,
I am colorful like a rainbow, and I get sucked on for my
Sweet smelling nectar,
I grow tall when the rain falls on my pretty bright petals, and
I fall apart when it is too hot,
My seeds blow in the wind and grow again next summer,
For all to enjoy my pretty bright colors and smell my sweet fragrant essence.
What Am I?
I Am A Flower.

I flitter and flutter from flower to flower,
I spread my wings wide to show off my stained glass colors,
I suck the sweet juicy nectar from the pretty petaled flowers,
I sit pretty and flutter my wings to fly high and seek all blossoms,
To suck on to give me the strength beneath my wings,
To soar as high and far as I can go.
What Am I?
I Am a Butterfly.

Spring is in the air
Flowers are everywhere,
Rainbows in the sky, makes me want to fly high in the sky,
Birds a chirping,
Bears a growling,
Bison snorting and charging,
Big Horn sheep grazing in the fields,
Deer and Elk chewing grass,
wolves a howling at the moon,
Moose are wandering in the lakes,
Chipmunks creeping and crawling in the forest scavenging for tidbits of food,
Eagles soaring high into the bright and…Continue

Just a quick little blog.
Between jobs I usually make a stop to see my mother. She's 87 and for the most part healthy. But this stop I felt she was looking like she's slowing down. Compared to many her age, she's probably doing much better, so there might not be much to my concern.
For two weeks I was having communication problems with the employer that I was looking at spending the winter season. That's not the greatest sign, and most of seasonal work is gut feeling...both…Continue

For a couple of years now I have been looking at the Employment Opportunities page of Maho Bay Camps. I had heard about them through meeting a few people here and in the life. They had an interesting Work Exchange Program listed. The program was also happening at their sister resort, Concordia Eco Resort. For a month, either beginning to end or mid to mid, you agree to work 4-hours for each day....a 30-day stay means 120 hours. The program runs from the beginning of June until mid-November.…Continue
