Tomorrow my summer 2011 begins ... what will it bring?

Made it through the packing list .... and yea, I agree ..... it's too long. The truck is packed. I go see my surgeon tomorrow morning hoping to get a thumbs up regarding the body work done last Monday. My truck has a new radiator and new spare tire ... Not much to say today, had an awesome easter with the grandprincess. she did not get alot of candy but she got 12 plastic eggs with girly treasure in them for her jewel box. We then were outside most of the day. When the temp gets higher then 40 here it seems like summer time. Took a run up to Yellowstone yesterday and the Old Faithful complex is like a maze driving through because the snow is so high. The new visitors center is amazing. I cant wait to get up there. It was a nice day all in all. Got to see first hand some idiots go under the tape at a hot pool to get a photo when the jerks should have been on the boardwalk. Ran up to the south entrance of the park today to do like a trial run of how far it is from my house to old faithful, but that entrance was closed. The Flagg Ranch is still blissfully under a blanket of deep snow as is everything else up that way. Started out the morning with snow which must have came in last night and now freezing rain. Not much hope for heating as the ceiling is low and the thermometer reads below 20 degrees. Spring Break '11

I was a bit worried five years ago about how to spend all the time between gigs. Well, actually the time was not the concern...but how to afford all the time. I have a big six days again between exit and arrival. One whole week without working.

I was attempting to get another week in there and found a company that was OK with that, but I decided I'd rather be there at least a little before the opening.

Another chance

Here I go again. Last year I was hired at Canyon in ynp but 5 days before I was to leave a family emergency came up and didnt get to go...I was so dissapointed---applied this year and am hired for same job and same location...Trying not to get to excited--but I've got 6 wks and getting fired up every day that gets closer...I simply cannot wait for this new adventure....I welcome any comment or advice about my up-coming adventure in ynp............

Oh! Oh! A break Down!!

Here we sit just a day's drive from where we were headed one week ago...Our van dropped it's transmission,in Gallup New Mexico as it pulled our trailer nice and easy,first it lost it back-up gears ( we limped into a local RV Park) going straight in forward...We are lucky,our transmission is still under warrenty,but the nearest place to ship one was Wisconsin, so what does one do without a way to see Gallup? My nerves are getting me already

Laffin- Trying to do too many things at one time and with school Im just too damn excited to sleep. Not sure if it is the possibility of sleeping by myself or not.
