They cram eight of you in a small four bedroom house. There cheap! 8.25 an hour and they had me doing everything from chasing cattle through a swamp where there were moose w/young, Logging, Moving a one hundred year old cabin........the list goes on! I was hired for guest services to boot.....ktchn/server/housekeeper. They also call themselves a "non profit" ranch. We saw a check for 70,000 for a group of 25 that stayed less then two weeks. This is the only ranch that I have ever heard of…

After 3800 miles and five days of driving, I'm home again in Texas after spending a season working in Ketchikan, AK. I must say, my job was fabalous - I do have reservations concerning my employer, however, I will just leave it at that. I loved driving my coach over the 32 miles of paved highway and leading tours in two different places. The guests were great! Amazing how many new friends you can make in such a short time.

SUKAKPAK : They were up front about everything and paid me my bonus. They made sure it wasnt all about work too. Id highly recommend them and im planning to apply for another season with my wife this time. :)

It is just a few days now before I leave Alaska, perhaps for the last time. It's made me reflect on all the experiences I've enjoyed over the summer. I asked myself, "Self.....did you make the right choice?" in coming to Alaska, and specifically Denali National Park. This morning I completed my summer season at Alaska Wildland Adventures at their Kenai Riverside Lodge in Cooper Landing. It was another fantastic season and flew by a bit too quickly.
