Where to start?

Well, I am new to Cool Works and I live far from anywhere with mountains, cool plains, or anything that has cool views and fun people. I don't fit in very well here in Missouri, as a matter of fact I hate it here. But anyways, im looking to get out of here and have just about everything as far as jobs on my resume...I was wondering what is the most sucsessful way of sending in your app. or resume to the places of employment. Fax/website/email etc. since I wont be able to attend any job… Continue

Greg Seats in China - Email # 3

Another note from halfway around the world:

Greetings, all.

Still alive and well in Gongqin, China. Recovering from a nose-throat-chest congestion thingy. I'd planned to wait it out, but allowed two students to steer me into a nearby clinic. A quick check by the doctor, three medications prescribed, and $5 later I was on my way. While China has a long tradition of natural healing therapies, it is also fully on board the western pharmaceutical train. Due to the…

A funny thing happened on the way to Tower Fall.

Tower Fall, in Yellowstone Park.....back in 1969, my buddy Nake worked there for Hamilton Stores, while I worked in Hamilton's Mammoth Accounting Office. We were just passing through Yellowstone National Park when we saw a "Help Wanted" sign. We applied, and got jobs, and went on to have a great summer. Uh, the personal director (I don't think they really had a HR Department in those days) didn't seem to much care for us though, and told us there was no way he'd let us work in the same…

Where Should I Go

Hello all, I'm new to My Cool Works, and I need some advice about where I should look for jobs this winter. I'll be graduating in December and I need to go somewhere different, somewhere I can enjoy the wonders of nature and be around like minded folk.

I'm twenty two years old with a passion for music and writing, and ever since I started to grow my hair out people including my father, have been calling me a hippie. But I don't like the classification, I can see that some of my attributes… Continue

Summer in AK

Well, it was definately a long and interesting summer. Alaska is beautiful .... when it's not raining!!! We set a record of over 32 days of rain. Needless to say, the guests that traveled during that time were not very happy and did not hesitate to let you know. Always asking when the mountain was coming out like it was on a schedule or something we could control. But when it was out it was magnificent. It looked so close you could walk to it, but was actually 40 miles from the…

Art is something else...

It is, for better or for worse, the bending of personal will. And while some artists may attempt standards such as academic standards, commercial standards or intellectual standards, there will always be significant creators who don't give a hoot about standards at all.

The main thing you need to think about is process. Your process. Individual decisions cannot be taken from some list. They are the result of your previous moves, including your…

The Stanley Hotel , A Real Stephen King adventure!!

Greetings All my Coolworks Followers,

This blog of mine I will discuss my time at the Stanley Hotel and Estes Park, Colorado. I was hired to work at the Stanley Hotel beginning on May 17, 2010. My position was to be a houseman working within the housekeeping department for the summer. My initial impressions of the historical Stanley Hotel was one of "man this place is really OOOOOLLLDDDD!!!" , the hotel has the Victorian look to it and the…
