Here I am in Pagosa Springs CO writing the blog I dreaded. I left Mesa Verde for the last time this year a couple of days ago. I just didn't want it to end ... I would have gone another 6 months easily but I have family, friends, and obligations waiting for me in Texas. This summer was everything I was hoping and much more. Great Year- WInter is like being in Switzerland- no car needed )travel by Gondola/Chondola- Unbelieveable mountains- Telski is the place to work for. Free skiing/boarding. The BEST skiing -Unmatched. There is housing that is affordable. Not the biggest rooms,but your only their to sleep.We came for the winter and stayed for the summer. NOW SUMMER is awesome. Fall has begun its accent upon White River National Wildlife Refuge with the coloring of the leaves; hunters out and about with bows and arrows; the weather becoming more seasonable with lower temps and the smell of campfires.
