Counting My Blessings ...

Something happened to me this week that I thought I would share. During the Fall of 2009 and Spring of 2010 I was fortunate to sponsor a young man named James as he pursued the goal of becoming a Roman Catholic Christian. I spent many weeks with James as he absorbed the various ideas and beliefs of the Catholic faith, which included a 3 day retreat. Last Wednesday I learned that James had suffered a massive stroke in his brain. I went to visit him on Saturday and found my friend in a hospital… Continue

my criteria for job locations

First I would like to thank everyone who has helped me with ideas on places to work in Alaska.

I want a place with water, mountains & wildlife. I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for housing & food...course maybe living at GCSR has spoiled me in that area.

Starting my Alaska folder

I have been daydreaming about going to Alaska for awhile. Usually I check out pictures here on coolworks & different job sites but always whimp-out about sending in the job applications.

Well right now I am on a sorta LOA at GCSR for the next 2 weeks....while I have the time off, I am totally cleaning out my room. Decluttering at its best. By the time I get done, I figure it won't be so difficult to travel

up to Alaska.

I am making a physical folder…
